Wawa to Thunder Bay and then to St Cloud Minnesota

First a correction, Jane pointed out that the birds paddling on the Superior pond that I posted were in fact geese, not ducks. My apologies to anyone who was offended or disappointed. I was unable to post anything yesterday because the wifi was not working properly.

Here are a few pictures of Lake Superior taken along the wildly scenic highways to the north, between Wawa and Thunder Bay,  and the west, between Thunder Bay and Duluth.

I took the next two pictures of the Thunder Bay Waterfront from my corner room on the 5th floor of the Prince Arthur Waterfront Hotel.

The next two are from a lookout on Highway 61 in Minnesota.

The temperature these last two mornings was quite brisk at 6 to 7 degrees but it slowly climbed to the mid-teens by noon and around 25 by mid-afternoon; altogether not bad weather for riding. I was the only vehicle at the border crossing, maybe because it was around 7:30 am CST, and was quickly waved through by the US customs officer.

I have gone over the 2,000 km mark on this trip and am now in my hotel room in St.Cloud. I will soon go for a walk and maybe even a libation that I will drink to your good health.
